The Surrey Sailing Club was founded in 1970 to promote the sport of dinghy sailing. It is a private sailing club that is run by volunteer members, and is non-profit. Located at an ideal spot on a large and scenic bay on the south side of Vancouver Canada, it offers:

• Single and family membership at a very reasonable cost
• Sailboat storage in a secured compound that is fenced and locked
• Close proximity to a protected sandy beach, ideal for dolly launching
• Sailing lessons on the club's fleet of training sailboats, open to non-members
• Organized sailboat racing three times per week, for six months of the year
• Rescue boats to assist sailors during training and formal races
• Social events
• An established clubhouse
• Kitchen and barbecue facilities
• Change-rooms and shower
• A fully equipped Race Control Tower
• Fresh water hoses to wash boats after sailing
