Position Title: CANSail Instructor
The Surrey Sailing Club is seeking trained and/or certified CANSail Instructors to work with our Learn to Sail programs for the 2020 season. Our training fleet includes Club 420s, RS Fevas, and Optimists; in which we run a variety of courses for youth and adults. Our season runs from mid-April until October, with the bulk of our courses taking place in July and August. Start and end dates can be flexible.
Our courses have a reputation of quality; by consisting of prepared, engaging, and dynamic on-water sessions that follow the CANSail curriculum. The ideal candidate is someone who can uphold that standard, while bringing their own energy to it. Our instructors are also responsible for providing weekly sailor progress reports to the lead instructor.

Someone who can work independently, and in a collaborative setting.
Someone who is enthusiastic, professional and demonstrates a true
passion for sailing.
Racing experience and/or a working knowledge of Checklick are
considered an asset.
Applicants must hold a current and valid Sail Canada instructor
