Surrey Sailing Club is a friendly and informal recreational sailing club that welcomes
new members. Membership is available to both singles and families at a very
reasonable cost. By joining the club, you will be able to enjoy a healthy
outdoor sport and partake in the club's social activities. Members are eligible
to store their sailboats in a secured compound, close to the water, for a small
additional fee. The
bay that we sail in offers spectacular views of the Pacific Northwest mountains
and the shallow waters are relatively warm for this region.
Participating in racing will enable
you to get the maximum benefit out of your membership. You'll
meet like minded sailors who will gladly pass on whatever knowledge they have of
sailing in general. When asked, they will give you advice on how to best modify
your rigging within class rules to attain maximum performance from your boat.
